Metropolitan Senior Citizens Corporation, Inc./dba as the St. Louis Activity Center was founded in 1954. We are the second oldest Senior Center in the United States. We are one of a few "Full Service" Senior Centers in the City.
We promote community health and programs for the underserved seniors and disabled in the City of St. Louis.
We collaborate with several other organizations to utilize the building to be a centralized community resource, including but not limited to; Southwest Garden Neighborhood Association, Board of Elections for voting center, Round Dance Council, Gateway Squares and Second District Police Association.
Through creative programing we provide participants with resources in the areas of physical and mental health, nutrition, education and transportation to ensure the opportunity to experience an optimal quality of life and encourage "Aging in Place"
Our services are partially funded by The St. Louis Area Agency on Aging, Missouri Foundation for Health, St. Louis Philanthropic Organization, Fundraisers, Donations, Members and Supporters.
With our joint efforts we can make the Community a better place for our Seniors
